The practice of scuba diving is only permitted under specific regulations for diving clubs and schools, with an appropriate individual dive license under the following conditions and within the framework of applicable legal provisions.
In addition to the local fish and plant life, impressive troughs and steep walls, underwater courses have also been set up.
- Diving is only permitted with a permit in the area of Hechenberg-South to Tunnel-North.
- Guided dives and equipment can be acquired at Hotel Post am See in Pertisau.
- Diving permits are available online at the Achensee Erlebnis shop, at Camping Schwarzenau, and also at Hotel Post am See.
- Since 1 January 1991, there has been a general diving ban at Achensee. The practice of scuba diving is only permitted under the specific regulations applicable to diving clubs and diving schools with an appropriate individual diving permit under the following conditions and within the framework of applicable legal provisions.

Diving at Achensee is only permitted with a valid license. By acquiring a diving license, you agree to the currently valid terms of permission. Upon request, the diving license must be presented to the staff of the lake administration. The diving license is valid immediately from the booking or the desired period!
Ticket validity:
Weekly ticket for diving is valid for 1 week from the date of performance.
Monthly ticket for diving is valid for 1 month from the date of performance.
Season ticket for diving is valid from 01.04.2026 to 30.11.2026.
Sports equipment & course units INFO: When purchasing a season ticket, you can obtain the seasonal parking card in the municipality of Eben at the valid conditions by presenting the ticket, proof of purchase, and vehicle registration. (only one vehicle registration per seasonal parking card is allowed)
The individual diving permit (license) entitles the permit holder to engage in scuba diving exclusively within the designated diving zone. From December 1 to March 31, no individual permits are issued; thus, diving is prohibited during this period.
